19 hours per week (Monday - Friday: 4 day week) (compressed hours available too).

Permanent Salary: Β£31,049 - Β£46,580 per annum pro rata (dependent on experience)

About the Role

This position may be offered at a Band 5 with progression to Band 6, subject to the successful candidate achieving sufficient competencies for a Band 6 role. We are looking to appoint a dynamic and well-motivated qualified Band 6 Respiratory Physiologist, with the relevant experience to join our busy Cardio-Respiratory department. The successful candidate will be an effective member of the Respiratory team providing a high standard of physiological measurements including a wide range of basic and advanced respiratory, sleep and oesophageal services and patient care to both out-patients and in-patients.

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Physiologist with significant experience, with their ARTP part 1 and 2 qualification or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years post qualification in a lung function and sleep setting. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and proactive, able to communicate with a range of disciplines, medical and nursing staff. Able to demonstrate good organisational skills, able to multitask and prioritise effectively and deputise in the absence of the Lead Respiratory Physiologist.

An independent practitioner with the ability to perform, interpret and report on a broad range of respiratory, sleep and oesophageal investigations. Work within the guidelines and sphere of professional practice in the delivery of all aspects of our specialist services within the Cardio Respiratory Unit. Duties are to be undertaken whilst maintaining a caring and compassionate environment. To undertake a range of specialised respiratory & Sleep investigations and treatments as listed to aid diagnosis and treatment of referred patients.
