Salary: Β£47,810 - Β£54,710 per annum, pro rata

Responsibilities
  • To support the departments Sonographers in the provision of a professional extended 7 day ultrasound service.
  • An opportunity to work within a friendly and dynamic department using modern and new equipment.
  • A wide range of examinations undertaken with the opportunity to further progress your career to Advanced Practitioner Sonographer.
  • Perform Ultrasound Examinations - Conduct a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations adapting techniques to patient condition.
  • Image analysis and reporting - Interpret ultrasound images to identify abnormalities and provide a comprehensive report.
  • Patient care and Interactions - To explain the process ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Equipment and Management - Operate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment reporting any faults.
  • Documentation and administration - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using hospital information systems.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Work effectively as part of a multi disciplinary team.
  • Quality assurance and Professional Development - Participate in quality assurance programmes, clinical audits and CPD.
  • Adherence to Protocols - Ensure all work is carried out according to department guidelines and policies and statutory regulations.
Qualifications

HCPC registered Sonographer able to undertake a mixture of examinations including but not exhaustive of abdominal, gynecological and vascular examinations.
