Responsibilities- To support the departments Sonographers in the provision of a professional extended 7 day ultrasound service.
- An opportunity to work within a friendly and dynamic department using modern and new equipment.
- A wide range of examinations undertaken with the opportunity to further progress your career to Advanced Practitioner Sonographer.
- Perform Ultrasound Examinations - Conduct a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations adapting techniques to patient condition.
- Image analysis and reporting - Interpret ultrasound images to identify abnormalities and provide a comprehensive report.
- Patient care and Interactions - To explain the process ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Equipment and Management - Operate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment reporting any faults.
- Documentation and administration - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using hospital information systems.
- Collaboration and Communication - Work effectively as part of a multi disciplinary team.
- Quality assurance and Professional Development - Participate in quality assurance programmes, clinical audits and CPD.
- Adherence to Protocols - Ensure all work is carried out according to department guidelines and policies and statutory regulations.
HCPC registered Sonographer able to undertake a mixture of examinations including but not exhaustive of abdominal, gynecological and vascular examinations.
