Shift Pattern30 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm) (Rotational weekend working, late night and bank holidays).

Responsibilities

Process and pick pharmaceutical stock to be issued to the wards/clinical areas in our ward stock distribution area.

Visit wards to conduct a pharmacy top-up service and deliver medication to and from the wards on an ad-hoc basis.

Use the pharmacy robot and WellSky computer system while maintaining a clean and tidy environment.

Receive and sign for all goods arriving at pharmacy, check them against delivery note and copy order to ensure accuracy (excluding controlled drugs).

Identify problems with delivery and decide upon appropriate corrective action to resolve the problem in accordance with SOPs.

Record details of deliveries both manually and in pharmacy computer system to maintain an accurate record and audit trail.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent e.g. NPA Dispensary Assistants Course) required to be eligible for this post.

Apprenticeship NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services considered for the appropriate candidate demonstrating the right skills and enthusiasm to pursue a career in pharmacy.
