Hours: 37.5 per week (rotational late night, weekends and bank holiday work).

Fixed term: 18 months during EPR implementation.

Salary: £31,049 – £37,796 per annum.

The Specialist Digital Pharmacist will work as part of the Digital Pharmacy Team supporting the Joint Lead Pharmacy Information Officer in a multidisciplinary team tasked with implementing the Joint Oracle EPR (JEPR) system across UHCW, GEH, and SWFT.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation team in the EPMA component of the JEPR roll‐out.
  • Deliver specialist training and teaching sessions to ward‐based teams, checking understanding and adapting training methods as required.
  • Support staff who are distressed or challenge changes to service as a result of JEPR.
  • Utilise observational and verbal communication skills with all stakeholders, contribute to benefits measurement, and design best practice.
  • Participate in process mapping days and use professional experience of medicines management standards to support the design of clinical practice and software configuration.
  • Plan training sessions for ward staff within specified time frames and deadlines.
  • Undertake routine duties within the dispensary, supervise junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and ATOs.
  • Carry out pharmaceutical technical duties under direction of Lead Pharmacy Technician and Chief Pharmacist.
  • Provide a safe, efficient, high‐quality pharmaceutical service to patients and staff.
  • Undertake training and accreditation in technical skills as agreed with Lead Pharmacy Technician and Chief Pharmacist.
  • Manage work of junior technicians and others when deputing for Lead Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Contribute to the late night, weekend, bank holiday, and statutory day working rota.
