The Opportunity
As a Service Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating field service operations, ensuring efficient response times, managing customer relationships, and providing administrative support to the Service Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Allocate field service engineers & technicians to incoming service requests, ensuring efficient response times and maximising utilisation of engineers’ working hours to support profitability.
- Assume full authority and responsibility for the service department’s administration in the Service Supervisor’s absence.
- Advise, guide and assist the service department, acting as second‑in‑charge.
- Direct and schedule field service engineers to ensure rapid response times for repairs and maintenance across all sites.
- Respond to incoming enquiries and telephone calls, recording customers’ service requests.
- Collaborate with the National STR team to assist with enquiries, quotes, orders, transport notes and logistics.
- Quote customers for new Preventative Maintenance Service contracts and Thorough Examinations.
- Manage customer relationships to ensure ongoing and successful continuation of Priority Care Plus & Priority Care maintenance & service contracts.
- Process all job sheets and apply appropriate charges for all chargeable work, maintaining profitability at all times.
- Arrange all preventative maintenance visits, ensuring they are booked and planned a week in advance.
- Manage all thorough inspections through the service provider Qualitas, keeping workload and administration up to date.
- Arrange follow‑up work between customers and our engineers.
- Ensure all internal service‑department paperwork and chargeable invoicing are processed within required timescales.
- File and maintain all paperwork in an orderly and timely manner.
- Assist in all other areas of service administration operations as required, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Comply with all company regulations.
- Carry out any additional duties as required at the request of the Senior Service Management Team.
