As part of our Governance and Assurance team, you’ll oversee all legal affairs, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. You’ll provide strategic legal guidance to the executive team, manage risks, and lead a small team of legal professionals.

What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and implementing our legal strategy, ensuring it supports our mission and objectives.
- Providing expert legal advice to the Board, executive team, and various departments on a range of legal matters including housing law, contracts, governance, and compliance.
- Overseeing the drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts and agreements related to housing projects, partnerships, and service providers.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations impacting social housing, housing projects, partnerships, and service providers.
- Identifying and assessing legal risks, and developing policies and procedures to mitigate potential issues.
- Overseeing legal disputes or claims, including working with external counsel when required.
- Providing legal training and support to colleagues, promoting understanding of compliance and best practice.
- Leading and mentoring the legal team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
