- To support the business in evaluating processes and practices, ensuring they are safe and compliant, with process specifications and methods documented in the form of standard operating procedures (SOPs), control plans, and process capability studies.
- Drive continuous improvement through value stream mapping, data analysis, and benchmarking activities.
- Development of internal capability to provide cost reductions within process route optimisation.
- Facilitate projects based on customer/ business requirements via a cross-functional team for existing and new products.
- Support in establishing process strategies, milestones plans and Capex projects.
- Work with the Management team and operators to establish a “right-first time” quality approach and customer focus.
- Provide regular business updates on “product/ process specific” activities including adherence to milestones and benefits achieved to date.
- Attend daily leadership routine meetings to support operational issues and sustainable route cause analysis.
- Competent in interpreting complex drawings.
- Knowledge of material specifications.

Ensure all processes/ products are documented in the form of
- SOPs with them being controlled documents
- Control plans
- Process/ equipment capability studies
- Time Analysis process studies
- Conduct data analysis, timings, and process confirmations
- Industry 4.0 applications
- Process-related Supplier contact, products, services,
- Project responsibility and Capex support
- H&S – Work in a safe and responsible manner. (For own and other people’s safety)
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required
Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer, covering the below processes.
- Material preparation, cutting, radius/ billet prep.
- Forge process, Heat treatment, PHT machining.
- Inspection, Machining, NDT, Pack.
- The role will include supporting the application of implementing I4.0 across the site.
- The Applicant
Essential
- Qualified in industry recognised lean manufacturing/ CI methodologies.
- Qualified/ experienced with using Movement-Time-Motion (MTM) analysis or Time in Motion (TIM) cycle time, process analysis tools.
Desirable
- Experience in a manufacturing/ aerospace environment.
- Experience with project/ CI tools.
- Experience with CNC machining and programming application
- Knowledge and competency of MS work packages, I. e., Excel, Visio, and Project.
