Job Purpose
Responsible for the transportation of product throughout the site including the loading and unloading of lorries.
Principle Accountabilities
- Ensure pre-use fork lift and crane checks have been carried out and completed in line with Health and safety policy.
- To achieve a constant flow of product to the relevant areas through transporting product and packaging to all required areas.
- Transport non-conforming products to the hotspot area for review, seeking clarity from the Quality department as necessary.
- Support all Fork Lift activities throughout the manufacturing process when requested to do so.
- Encourage and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by performing daily TPM, and 5S activities.
- Be actively involved in any process improvement activity that supports improved business performance.
- Reading and understanding the appropriate Risk Assessments and Work Instructions.
- Compliance to all aspects of Health & Safety (H&S) including ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain working environment to expected levels of housekeeping and organisation at all times.
- Undertake other tasks within capabilities, in any department across the business, as requested by the Manager / Supervisor.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience operating as an FLT.
- Previous experience gained within a Heavy Manufacturing environment.
Desirable Qualifications &/or Experience
- Valid FLT License.
