This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining manual grinding machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications. Key responsibilities include:
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual universal grinders.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine grinding requirements.
- Tooling Selection: Select and dress grinding wheels and tooling according to specifications and workpiece material.
- Precision Measurement: Use micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments to inspect finished components and ensure they meet tight tolerances.
