Maintenance Fitter at FORGE
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team at a modern recycling facility. This is a hands‑on role working on machinery used in the SRF production process.
Hours: 55 per week + on‑call rota
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Main Duties
- Maintain, repair, and install machinery (shredders, conveyors, balers, screens)
- Carry out routine checks and preventative maintenance
- Find and fix mechanical faults
- Work with electrical and automation teams when needed
- Take part in shutdowns, upgrades, and project work
- Keep maintenance records up to date
- Follow all health & safety procedures
Experience Needed
- Experience in recycling, waste, or similar industrial environments is ideal
- Able to read mechanical drawings
- CMMS knowledge is useful
- Forklift, MEWP, or confined space certificates are a bonus
