Maintenance Fitter at FORGE

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team at a modern recycling facility. This is a hands‑on role working on machinery used in the SRF production process.

Hours: 55 per week + on‑call rota

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Main Duties

• Maintain, repair, and install machinery (shredders, conveyors, balers, screens)
• Carry out routine checks and preventative maintenance
• Find and fix mechanical faults
• Work with electrical and automation teams when needed
• Take part in shutdowns, upgrades, and project work
• Keep maintenance records up to date
• Follow all health & safety procedures

Experience Needed

• Experience in recycling, waste, or similar industrial environments is ideal
• Able to read mechanical drawings
• CMMS knowledge is useful
• Forklift, MEWP, or confined space certificates are a bonus
