We are working with an established Niche Freight Forwarder who are looking to recruit a Gateway & Customs Coordinator. You will be working with the UK Gateway team, dealing with Air, Sea and Road movements. The role involves completing all necessary documentation to facilitate movements in conjunction with maintaining a high level of service and adhering to HMRC compliance.
Role Involves:
- Complete all customs formalities and transit paperwork on shipments by Air, Sea and Road.
- Organise airport transport for Export and Import Shipments.
- Arrange supervisions, including Airside Supervisions.
- Liaising with Customs to ensure shipments are Customs cleared.
- Raising and discharging T1s.
- Assist with Bond/Version movements.
- Approving supplier invoices.
- Assist with in-house Training.
- Providing quotes to all Project Managers and Coordinators.
- Competently operate database.
- HMRC Compliance.
- Assist in Improving workflows and driving efficiency.
Experience Needed:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Up to date customs and VAT knowledge and experience.
- IT Literate.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Good Team player.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and well organised.
- Art Industry knowledge advantage.
