Export Clerk
FORGE
Our client, a small forwarder, is looking for a candidate with previous experience in an Export role (AOG/Time Critical). 80% Airfreight, with additional Road and Sea freight responsibilities. The ideal candidate will want to put their hand in at every opportunity and go above and beyond to support the company\’s business verticals.
Responsibilities
- Handle Aerospace, General Cargo, OBC, AOG, Time Critical, VIP, hazardous, and live animal shipments.
- Manage all aspects of a booking process from start to finish, including customs entries.
- Support airfreight imports learning.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an export department.
- Computer literate with a clear understanding of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of a full range of Incoterms and current customs procedures.
- Clear understanding of International Trade Regulations.
- Strong knowledge of geography, mathematics, and literacy.
- Willingness to learn and develop in a fast‑paced setting.
- Multi-modal experience preferred.
- DG trained preferred.
- Cargowise or Boxtop experience preferred.
- Level CO security essential.
- Car driver essential.
Working Conditions
This is not a Monday‑to‑Friday 9 am‑5:30 pm role; you will be on a rota for call‑outs for AOG shipments, and the role is very much job‑to‑finish. Everybody helps out with all departments to get the job done.
Salary
Circa £35,000 – £42,000.
