Due to increased global growth in the business, we are seeking a Trade Compliance Co‑Ordinator to be part of the team within the Heathrow Office. The role is to co‑ordinate Trade Compliance, CITES and Customs on behalf of our client.
Working Hours onsite: Monday – Friday 08.30 – 17.30 hours – one‑hour unpaid lunch.
Salary: £28,500.00 per annum (Depending on experience).
Duties And Responsibilities
- Complete the Kering Product Libraries compliantly, within a timely manner.
- Ensure all reports and KPIs for Trade Compliance are completed accurately by given deadlines.
- Determine correct tariff classifications for all supported brands within the Key Account function moving from the EU as required.
- Issue country specific guidance (for the UK) to the business on additional import requirements for stock products predominantly from the EU.
- Maintain close liaison with line reporting and provide support to the Head of function.
- Provide support on internal projects where input, involvement or expertise where Trade Compliance is needed.
- Audit and monitor entries to ensure they are compliant with local import and export legislation, as well as to support brand KPI audit requirements.
- Ensure all operational activities are completed and followed up correctly in accordance with SOPs and organisational policy.
- Help facilitate Imports and Exports of non-stock goods, completing and supplying documents and declarations.
- Liaise with HMRC and assist with maintenance on customs procedures.
- Implement and improve new efficiencies in client workflow in conjunction with line manager.
- Create and maintain written procedures.
- Complete CITES applications.
- Ensure all Brand, Quarterly and Half‑yearly reports are completed accurately by given deadlines.
- Complete all Import, Export, Transit, ICs and ENS declarations compliantly in line with regulation.
- Ensure the Kering trackers are completed accurately and constantly up to date.
- Complete archiving for Kering customs declarations.
- Ensure that any clearance instructions from 3rd parties are completed accurately and concisely.
- Immediately report any amendments to the customs declaration forms to line manager.
- Ensure the Kering SharePoint is up to date – ensuring all information and documentation are uploaded.
- Accurately complete all billing and invoicing within the instructed time‑period.
- Ensure all Invoicing trackers are completed accurately and constantly up to date.
- Ensure all operational activities are completed on time.
- Complete ad‑hoc and spot checks on entries and submit reports to line manager.
Skills, Experience And Competencies
- Experience within customs/trade compliance within a large business or brokerage firm, and an in‑depth understanding of UK & EU Customs regulations and documentation.
- Previous experience in a similar position or Customs facing role.
- Knowledge of control documentation such as IMPORT and EXPORT permits for CITES would be preferable.
- Proficient understanding of international trade, import duties, commodity codes, incoterms, preference and valuation.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written) essential with expert communication skills across all levels.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as being confident to work independently.
- Demonstrates initiative and drive to meet deadlines while working in a busy environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft packages especially MS Excel and other MS packages.
- Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload with attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be flexible with their working hours – occasional weekend work based on volume.
