Decontamination / Clearance and Cleaning Operative

Overview
Decontamination Cleaner / Clearance and Clean Operative required. Location: Erdington / surrounding areas. The main depot is in Birmingham; travel to various client sites covering the Midlands area is required. Hours of work: 40 hours per week for standard duties. When working on police decontamination you will be on call on a 7-day reactive rota.
Responsibilities
- Carry out environmental cleans, including sanitation and decontamination services to all types of Police assets – vehicles, cells, and stations.
- Clean-up of different levels of crime scenes.
- May be required to conduct other duties such as void property clearance and cleaning, pest control and graffiti removal; full training will be provided.
Requirements
- Full clean driving licence
- Clear criminal record (police vetting and DBS checks will be conducted)
- Good geographical knowledge of the Midlands area
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure

Pay and employment details
The hourly rate for Standard hours will be £12.21ph plus holiday accrual. When working on police decontamination, there will be a shift allowance and any jobs after 5pm will be paid at an overtime rate.
