Our client, a small forwarder, is looking for a candidate with previous experience within an Export role (AOG/Time Critical). The role involves 80% Airfreight but also some Road and Seafreight. Candidates should be willing to put their hand in at every opportunity and go above and beyond to support the company's business verticals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling Aerospace, General Cargo, OBC, AOG, Time Critical, VIP, hazardous and live animals.
- Experience of working in an export department, managing all aspects of a booking process from start to finish including Customs entries.
- Opportunity to learn airfreight imports.
Requirements:
- Computer literate with a clear understanding of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of a full range of Incoterms and current Customs Procedures.
- Clear understanding of International Trade Regulations.
- Exceptional understanding of Geography, Mathematics and Literacy.
- Service & Engagement is non-negotiable - retaining and growing the existing customer base whilst ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced setting.
- Multi-modal experience preferable.
- DG trained preferable.
- Cargowise or Boxtop experience preferable.
- Level CO security essential.
- Car driver essential.
Salary: Circa £35,000 - £42,000. This is not a Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm role; you will be on a rota for call outs for AOG shipments and the role is very much job to finish. Everybody helps out with all departments to get the job done.
