The Transport & Logistics Business Development Manager will be based from the Midlands UK Head Office and will lead sales and business development activities across a national territory. The role requires experience in UK domestic transport sales & business development, including sourcing leads, liaising with prospective customers, arranging and attending sales meetings, discussing current transport levels and offering transport solutions, and negotiating to gain new business.
Salary & Benefits: £40,000 basic salary plus bonus, fully expensed company car, laptop, mobile, pension, and other benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across transport and logistics services.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets.
- Generate leads, conduct client meetings, prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, service contracts, and commercial terms in line with company policies.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
- Build, maintain, and grow long‐term relationships with clients in key industries.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact, resolving issues in collaboration with operations and customer service teams.
- Work with operations, fleet management, planning, warehousing, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution of new accounts.

- Experience in UK domestic transport sales & business development.
- Strong industry knowledge.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to present integrated supply chain solutions that meet customer needs.
