Shifts: Currently working rotational shifts of 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm; this will be changing in the near future to a 3 rotational shift pattern (6am-2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am)
Salary: £43,500 rising to £47,000
We are looking for an experienced Production Shift Leader to lead safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations while developing and supporting shop-floor teams. The ideal Production Shift Lead will have worked in the packaging / FMGC industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead site safety, PPE compliance, LOTO, and safe working practices
- Deliver daily production plans, meeting targets for output, efficiency, waste, and downtime
- Monitor KPIs and take corrective action when performance drops
- Ensure quality checks are completed and non-conforming product is quarantined
- Allocate staff effectively, manage breaks and absences, and plan shift cover
- Coach and develop operators to improve skills, performance, and teamwork
- Provide clear shift handovers and communicate priorities and issues
- Coordinate with maintenance and ensure basic daily machine care is completed
- Maintain strong housekeeping and 5S standards
- Complete all required production and quality documentation
