Forge Valley School is an 11-18 Academy sponsored by INOVA Multi Academy Trust. We are rated as a “Good” school by Ofsted with the ambition and capacity to improve further. The school serves over 1500 pupils and since the school’s reputation goes from strength to strength, the number of pupils at Forge Valley School is expected to rise further.

We are seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic colleague for the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead. Applicants should be flexible, able to work on their own initiative and can prioritise to meet demands and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will develop and implement safeguarding and child protection policies; work with young people and their families to promote their welfare; respond appropriately to disclosures or concerns and raise awareness of safeguarding and child protection in the whole school community.

Applicants must have experience of working with young people, with a strong background of child protection work, and be able to build effective and positive relationships with all in our community. We are looking for a good communicator who will be totally committed to the welfare of our pupils.
