Transaction Services - Assistant Manager | Manchester City Centre (Hybrid - 3 days in office) | £55,000 - £65,000 p/a
Forge Talent is continuing its partnership with a fast-growing PE-backed accounting and advisory firm with specialist teams across accounting, tax, consultancy, legal and wealth. We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Transaction Services team in Manchester, part of the wider Deal Advisory division. This role will have a key part to play in the Financial Due Diligence process for corporate and private equity transactions. The role will include sell-side and buy-side M&A and debt financings, and will be at the forefront of global M&A transactions - great opportunity for growth and exposure under strong leadership.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, data-driven financial due diligence services.
- Take ownership of due diligence workstreams, coordinating inputs from tax, commercial, and operational specialists to ensure a comprehensive assessment.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, including quality of earnings reviews, working capital assessments, and balance sheet verification.
- Identify and quantify key financial risks, trends, and value drivers, presenting findings with clarity and commercial relevance.
- Draft structured, issue-focused due diligence reports that provide actionable insights for investment or acquisition decisions.
- Develop a strong understanding of client strategies, transaction structures, and value creation levers to tailor technical advice accordingly.
- Build and manage relationships with clients, private equity investors, corporate finance advisors, and other deal stakeholders.
- Support business development by contributing to proposals, pitch materials, and technical insight pieces across sector teams.
Requirements:
- ACA Qualified or equivalent.
- Comfortable with key value items e.g. Quality of Earnings, Net Debt and net working capital analysis/adjustments.
- Experienced producing excel data books and communicating findings to clients.
- Comfortable working on completion accounts mechanisms Vs Locked Box mechanisms.
- Experience within Deal Advisory/TS/FDD/M&A.
