Senior Management Accountant in a PEābacked, multiāentity, multiācurrency B2B SaaS scaleāup with ongoing buyāandābuild activity and international expansion.
What you will do:
- Prepare monthly and annual consolidated financial statements for a growing, acquisitive group.
- Own key technical accounting workstreams including goodwill impairment (IFRS 3 and IAS 36), IFRS 15 revenue recognition on complex SaaS contracts and IAS 38 development cost capitalisation, with clear working papers and policies ahead of audit.
- Coordinate with external auditors, leading audit deliverables and queries to deliver a smooth, onātime yearāend in a fastāpaced PE environment.
- Act as a key review layer across AP and AR and all purchase and sales invoices, overseeing monthāend close and key journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll, fixed assets).
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns, maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation, and support annual R&D tax claims with external advisers.
- Support M&A processes, including financial due diligence input, postāacquisition integration and process optimisation.
- Provide recurring and adāhoc variance, trend and profitability analysis for senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, controls and processes, while mentoring junior team members.
What you bring:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with PQE, ideally audit trained with strong practical IFRS knowledge ā suitable for first or secondātime mover with relevant experience.
- Background in B2B SaaS, software or similarly complex multiāentity, multiācurrency businesses; PEābacked or highāgrowth experience with tight deadlines is highly desirable.
- Strong systems skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and confidence engaging nonāfinance stakeholders in a fastāchanging growth setting.
- A strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail, communication and stakeholder management skills, balancing technical depth with commercial pragmatism.
