We are partnering with a construction client based in Oldham to recruit an experienced Finance Professional to join their finance team. This role will play a pivotal part in overseeing daily finance operations, managing financial processing, building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, and providing wider financial support across the business.

This is a fully site based opportunity, working five days a week within a supportive and friendly team environment, with excellent long-term career progression on offer. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and collaborate closely with the Office Manager, Purchasing Manager, and subcontractors across the business.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Resolve purchase invoice queries
  • Process contract purchase invoices
  • Process and reconcile staff expense claims
  • Process monthly payroll and set up payment
  • Submit CIS return
  • Submit pension return
  • Submit VAT return
  • Update weekly cashflow
  • Set up creditor payments
Requirements of the role:
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Payroll, VAT, CIS and bank reconciliations
  • Experience with Xero or similar finance system
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
  • Previous experience in a Accounts Payable/Accounts Manager/Finance Officer/Accounts Assistant role
