Forge Talent is exclusively partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed group with a multi-million-pound turnover and an aggressive acquisition strategy, creating a genuine opportunity to be part of its next stage of expansion in a newly created role.

They’re looking for a Finance Integration Lead to take ownership of turning acquisitions into fully integrated businesses, aligning finance, systems, processes and people to deliver the value behind each deal.

This is a chance to step away from the traditional finance route and get involved in something far more varied. You’ll have real ownership, exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape how the group integrates future acquisitions. For someone who enjoys problem-solving, getting out into the business and making things happen, this is a role where you can genuinely make your mark.

The role will include:

  • Leading the financial integration of newly acquired businesses, from initial assessment through to full integration.
  • Reviewing due diligence information, identifying gaps, assessing financial risks and establishing integration priorities.
  • Visiting acquired sites to understand existing finance teams, processes and systems.
  • Aligning accounting systems, charts of accounts, reporting policies and financial controls with group standards.
  • Driving improvements to billing, purchasing, revenue processes and wider financial workflows.
  • Supporting management accounts and group reporting during transition periods, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Coordinating the migration of banking, payroll, tax and other finance-related processes.
  • Working with Finance Business Partners on initial budgets and the handover of reporting into business-as-usual teams.
  • Building relationships with acquired management teams, managing stakeholders at all levels and supporting operational change.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies and synergies following acquisitions.
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent.
  • Experience in an operational finance, project-based or acquisition integration role would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with people at every level.
  • A pragmatic problem-solver who can assess situations quickly, prioritise effectively and get things moving.
  • Someone comfortable rolling their sleeves up, visiting sites and working through challenges rather than simply producing reports.
  • Experience in a multi-site or acquisitive business would be beneficial. Sector experience isn't essential.

Why consider it?

You’ll have genuine ownership of the integration process within a growing, PE-backed group. Rather than being another person in a traditional finance team, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and operational colleagues, helping shape how the business integrates future acquisitions.

Ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working with people as much as the numbers.
