Forge Talent are pleased to be working with a high-growth consumer-facing business based in Manchester who are looking to appoint an experienced Audit Manager.
This is a great opportunity for an ACA-qualified accountant coming from an external audit background who is looking to make the move into industry and take on a broad, commercially focused role within a growing business.
You’ll sit within the wider Finance function and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, helping to ensure the company is well prepared for its year-end requirements while also getting involved in wider finance projects and improvements.
What you'll be doing
- Taking ownership of the annual audit process from the Finance side.
- Working closely with external auditors and internal Finance teams.
- Making sure information, documentation and reporting are delivered accurately and on time.
- Supporting the business with technical accounting queries and year-end matters.
- Reviewing financial processes and identifying areas where things could work better.
- Helping strengthen controls and improve the overall finance environment.
- Working with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
- Getting involved in wider projects as the business continues to grow.
What we're looking for
- ACA qualified, ideally trained within a Big Four or Top 10 accountancy firm.
- Strong external audit experience.
- Good technical accounting knowledge.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Someone who wants to move beyond practice and build their career within industry.
