Forge Talent has partnered with a leading, multibillion pound turnover service provider as they look to develop the delivery of their Transactional Finance Team. This role will be ideal for an experienced Transactional Finance Leader with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and a motivation to make a meaningful impact. This is a critical and key leadership role that will take full responsibility for all, end to end transactional finance operations with a focus upon efficiency, accuracy and continuous improvements. As this is an (initial) Fixed Term Contract, applicants will need to be able to start work on a reduced/ immediate notice period and have proven experience in a similar position.
Transactional Finance Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of 15 associates to deliver a high volume of end-to-end transactional finance activities.
- Oversee the Accounts Receivable and Payables teams.
- Ensuring KPI targets are met and efficient and accurate processing is maintained and collection targets are achieved.
- Ensure that robust financial controls and compliance with internal policies are maintained.
- Manage, mentor, and support a team to contribute to continual improvement projects.
- Complete regular 121s with Team leaders to understand training needs and organise appropriate development plans.
- Produce and review timely and accurate financial reports for the wider senior finance team.
- Proactively and collaboratively work with the wider business to improve processes and efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow and contribute to forecasting and planning.
- Investigate escalated discrepancies to reach prompt and accurate resolutions.
- Ensure that accounts are reconciled accurately, identifying and resolving any discrepancies as required.
- Lead a system migration.
- Proactively drive improvements across finance operations and systems.
Required Transactional Finance Manager Experience:
- Proven experience in a Transactional Finance Manager position, gained within a larger and fast-moving business environment.
- Proven people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team to achieve set results and adapt to continual improvement plans.
- A subject matter expert in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes with a full understanding of the end-to-end cycle across both ledgers.
- A sound understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance procedures.
- Advanced computerised systems and Excel skills with proven experience of taking the lead on Process and System improvement projects.
- A proactive, organised and solutions focussed management style with the ability to highlight and address opportunities for improvements.
- The ability to start work on a reduced notice period and commit to a minimum 6-month contract.
- Proven change management experience.
- Knowledge and experience of CIS accounting processes is highly advantageous.
- Experience of using Coins and Access Dimensions accounting packages is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience of working in contract roles with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes is highly advantageous.
