Management Accountant in Liverpool

Overview

Forge Talent is working with a growing services business in South Liverpool who are looking to appoint a commercially minded part‑qualified Management Accountant.

This role would suit someone who enjoys analysing data, improving processes, and taking ownership of core accounting areas within a busy finance function.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational teams, and helping to embed new systems and controls as the business continues to evolve.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and posting of journals, including RTR journals
• Intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and recharging
• Full responsibility for bank reconciliations
• Financial analysis to support decision‑making and improve performance
• Supporting the implementation of a new expenses and travel system
• Managing the accounting aspects of fleet management as it moves into the finance team
• Accounting for leases in line with IFRS 16

Supporting month‑end processes and ensuring timely, accurate reporting

About You

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial data
• Solid experience with journals, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced services environment
• Confident engaging with stakeholders outside of finance
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and keen to improve processes
