About the Role
Forge Talent is working exclusively with a growing legal firm seeking an experienced Legal Cashier. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for managing the firm’s financial operations while ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing client and office ledgers accurately
- Processing receipts, payments, and disbursements
- Handling billing, invoices, and fee allocation
- Conducting bank reconciliations and managing client account balances
- Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs) and internal policies
- Preparing monthly management accounts and cash flow reports
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, and other departments regarding financial queries
- Monitoring and tracking trust account funds
- Supporting audits and end-of-year financial reporting
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a legal cashier or similar finance role (3+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of legal accounting procedures and SARs
- Confident in billing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proactive, with a “get up and go” attitude
- Team player who can contribute new ideas and process improvements
- Available to work in-office for the first 2–4 weeks to learn internal systems and processes
