Overview We8217;re working with a fast-growing, purpose-led healthcare business on the hire of a Financial Reporting Manager to join their evolving finance function. This is a key role reporting into the Head of Reporting, offering genuine exposure to statutory reporting, IFRS, audit, tax and complex accounting matters, with a clear succession and development pathway built into the role. Its well suited to an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant, ideally from practice or recently moved into industry, who enjoys being hands-on while helping to raise the technical standard of a growing finance team. The Role You8217;ll take ownership of the organisation2 s financial reporting framework, ensuring high-quality, compliant reporting while helping strengthen controls and processes as the business scales. This is not a box-ticking role youe8217;ll be trusted to apply judgement, challenge where needed, and work closely with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards (IFRS preferred) Own technical accounting matters, including drafting papers and advising on complex transactions Manage corporation tax, VAT and deferred tax, working with external advisors Act as a key contact for external auditors and lead the year-end audit process Ensure balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and robust financial controls Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes and systems Support and mentor junior members of the finance team Work closely with the Head of Finance as part of a long-term succession plan About You Strong technical accounting background with IFRS exposure Recently from practice or not long out, with solid statutory reporting and tax experience Confident across audit, controls and balance sheet ownership Able to explain technical matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable operating in a growing, evolving business Why This Role?
