Contract: Fixed Term – 18 months (Maternity Cover)

About the Role

A well-established group business is looking to appoint a Group Financial Reporting Manager on an 18-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key role within the Group Finance team, responsible for leading group financial reporting and consolidations across a number of UK businesses and investment entities. Alongside the core reporting responsibilities, the role also offers exposure to the investment side of the group, supporting reporting and analysis around portfolio performance and business valuations. You will work closely with Finance Directors across the group, providing high-quality reporting, financial insight and analysis to senior stakeholders. The role offers a blend of technical reporting, financial analysis and investment-focused work, including group cash forecasting and supporting valuation activity across the portfolio. The contract length allows for a full handover period before and after maternity leave, with potential longer-term opportunities depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the year-end statutory-style consolidation for the Group.
  • Manage the consolidation process across multiple operating businesses and holding entities.
  • Work closely with the wider finance team and external auditors during the year-end and audit cycle.
  • Own the quarterly group reporting process, consolidating results across multiple business units.
  • Produce high-quality reporting packs and analysis for senior leadership.
  • Ensure group reporting aligns with statutory results across the reporting cycle.
  • Lead the group-wide cash forecasting process.
  • Work with Finance Directors and finance teams to gather, challenge and refine cash flow projections.
  • Provide clear insight and commentary on group liquidity and financial performance.
  • Maintain and enhance Excel-based consolidation and reporting models.
  • Support improvements to reporting processes as the business continues to evolve its systems and infrastructure.
  • Act as a key contact for Finance Directors across the group.
  • Build strong relationships with finance teams to coordinate inputs and deliver accurate reporting.
  • Present financial results and analysis clearly to senior stakeholders.
