Forge Talent are representing a PE-backed services business undergoing an exciting period of growth and future investment planning. As part of their continued expansion and group transformation, they are strengthening their Group Finance function to support evolving business needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to develop their technical reporting expertise within a dynamic, forward‑thinking environment. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you’ll play a hands‑on role in the preparation of statutory and group reporting, audit support, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of consolidated group accounts
- Produce consolidation adjustments, eliminations, and technical journals
- Post consolidation adjustments within D365 and perform TM1/statistical reconciliations
- Prepare and reconcile VAT returns across multiple entities
- Lead corporation tax compliance in partnership with external tax specialists
- Prepare and maintain tax query logs and tax disclosures
- Rectify IFRS 16 lease schedules and correct prior‑year errors
- Support entity rationalisation and balance sheet clean‑up initiatives
- Produce ONS and FCA reporting submissions
- Post year‑end journals and support continuous reporting improvement
- Support the annual external audit process and liaise with auditors on technical accounting matters
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, or ACA)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach across teams
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with attention to detail
- Knowledge of corporation tax (Nice to have)
