A No.1 finance role, you’ll work closely with the Managing Director as a true strategic partner, taking the organisation from C to D: driving international expansion, leading high-impact commercial projects, and shaping a future-ready finance function.

This is hands-on thinking, not bookkeeping. You’ll see processes from the ground up and make them better. We’re looking for a confident, future-focused leader with the gravitas to influence at every level and the commercial edge to help propel the business forward.

The Role:

Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring robust financial control and high-performing teams
Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and senior leadership, supporting growth, profitability and ROI
Provide commercial insight through deep analysis of financial data, systems and performance trends
Influence and challenge stakeholders across the business to improve commercial outcomes
Own budgeting, forecasting and monthly management reporting, delivering clear and actionable insight
Manage cash flow, foreign exchange exposure and capital investment approval
Lead audit preparation and manage relationships with external advisers and professional partners
Negotiate customer trading terms and support account performance through financial analysis
Ensure full compliance with statutory and governance requirements, maintaining strong internal controls

About You

You will be:

Experienced in high-growth environments and SMEs
Comfortable being hands-on while thinking strategically and commercially
Confident with the gravitas to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels
Forward-thinking, meticulous and diligent
Experienced at a similar level, with oversight across all areas of finance
