Finance Manager – Global Finance Integration

Forge Talent has partnered with a high-growth, multi-brand international retailer to appoint a Finance Manager Role sat in the Global team. This is a key role supporting global alignment of finance operations, group-wide policy application, and effective collaboration across international teams. You’ll be the glue between UK Group Finance and regional finance functions across Europe, North America, and APAC, working to ensure consistent financial reporting, smooth audit processes, and successful integration of accounting policy and controls.
The Role
This is not your standard technical finance role. It’s for someone who enjoys leading change, joining the dots across a global business, and driving improvements in process, data and control frameworks. You’ll take ownership of core financial processes such as impairment testing and policy alignment, manage audit deliverables with external auditors, and lead key integration initiatives to elevate financial consistency and compliance across regions. This role will suit a 2nd mover out of practice, ideally with a strong technical accounting background with experience applying IFRS, especially IAS 36.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead store impairment reviews and own other high-impact accounting projects, including policy alignment and process improvement.
- Collaborate closely with global finance teams and support the delivery of critical outputs, including financial disclosures and performance insights.
- Design and deliver engaging financial training sessions to raise accounting standards group-wide.
- Be the go-to for component audit queries, acting as a key liaison with external audit teams and internal stakeholders.
- Operate and monitor key controls across global finance processes, driving compliance and governance maturity.
- Analyse large-scale P&L and balance sheet data at store and regional level to inform accounting decisions.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the group internal controls framework ensuring smooth operation and testing.
- Partner with other group finance teams including Reporting, FP&A, Finance Transformation and Internal Controls to deliver collective outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with 3+ years post-qualified experience
- Strong technical accounting background with experience applying IFRS, especially IAS 36
- Hands-on experience managing or contributing to group audit processes, ideally across multiple territories
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work with complex data sets and translate into clear insights
- Excellent communicator who can influence, coach and collaborate across senior stakeholders
- Process-driven with a passion for driving change, consistency and best practice
- Resilient, organised, and thrives in a fast-moving environment
