Contract Type: 6‑Month Fixed Term Contract

Forge Talent is partnering with a well‑established UK business to recruit a Credit Controller to join their finance team on a 6‑month fixed term contract.

The Role

Reporting to the Credit Control Lead, you’ll take responsibility for managing and collecting outstanding debt across multiple business divisions and locations. You’ll work closely with colleagues and customers to ensure invoices are paid promptly and accurately, helping to maintain strong cash flow and financial health.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and reduce overdue accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare for and participate in debt review meetings, providing clear reporting and updates.
  • Process credit card and online payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Support process improvements within the credit control function.

About You

You will have:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller, ideally within a large or shared service environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
