Forge Talent are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful business as they continue their growth plans. They are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to oversee and further develop a team of credit controllers, enhancing efficiencies across the department. Credit Control Manager Role Overview:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Credit Control Specialists, building a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
- Proactively motivate and manage the Credit Control Team to achieve timely collections of outstanding amounts and minimise aged debt.
- Oversee the team to ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing in line with individual contracts and service agreements.
- Maintain a proactive approach to credit risk management by setting and reviewing customer credit limits, ensuring adherence to credit policies.
- Effectively manage escalations and customer disputes to resolve overdue balances.
- Provide regular reporting and commentary to the senior management team on aged debt, cash collections, and credit risks.
- Ensure a commitment to continual improvements, collaborating with the wider business to enhance credit control processes.
- Play an active role in the optimisation of company software, ensuring alignment with operational and financial requirements.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators for data accuracy, collections performance, and team productivity.
- Promote best practice, ensuring efficiencies across customer onboarding and credit assessments.
- Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, data protection requirements, and external regulatory standards.
Credit Control Manager Required Experience:
- Previous experience as a Credit Control Manager with proven results of developing a team and improving efficiencies.
- Experience of working in a similar capacity in either a retail or multi-site business environment is highly advantageous.
- Proven leadership and team development skills with experience of managing and mentoring a team of credit controllers.
- Full understanding of credit risk, Business to Business invoicing, collections, and data governance best practice.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to provide detailed reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence decision making across multiple departments.
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems skills (Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly advantageous).
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take the lead on escalated issues and queries.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise personal and team tasks in line with business demands.
- Although some flexibility is available, this is an office-based role and applicants will be required to be (currently) located within a commutable distance of Blackburn.
