Talent Manager – Forge Talent, Relationships Not Transactions 🚀

Private equity–backed business based in Manchester city centre is looking for an immediately available Commercial Controller to join their team. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you’ll work closely with senior leadership, driving insight and performance across multiple entities. This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office, 2 from home).

What you’ll be doing

• Full ownership of the P&L across all entities, ensuring accuracy and visibility of performance.
• Providing commercial insight and business partnering with key stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Reviewing and analysing WIP (work in progress) and driving improvements in margin and efficiency.
• Managing cash flow, ensuring tight control and forward visibility.
• Leading on budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with finance and operational teams.
• Supporting the business through ongoing growth and change in a fast-paced PE-backed environment.

What we’re looking for

• A resilient, commercially minded finance professional with strong business partnering experience.
• Proven experience owning P&Ls and providing meaningful financial insight.
• Someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can hit the ground running.
• Immediate or short notice availability.
