Forge Talent are working with a well-established, nationally operating logistics and home delivery organisation that supports major retail brands across the UK. With a strong operational footprint and continued investment in its finance function, the business is now looking to appoint a Junior Finance Business Partner to support performance across its Wigan site.
The Opportunity
This is an ideal position for someone studying towards full qualification who wants exposure to FP&A, commercial finance and operational partnering early in their career. You’ll sit close to the action working with operations, supporting forecasts, and helping translate financial data into meaningful insights that influence decisions.
Key areas of involvement include:
- Supporting annual budgets and rolling forecasts (P&L focused)
- Producing and enhancing weekly flash reporting to provide early performance insight
- Delivering variance analysis across budget, forecast and prior year
- Assisting with month-end and refining reporting models
- Developing and tracking KPIs with the wider FP&A team
- Partnering with operational stakeholders to align forecasts with activity levels
- Identifying trends, risks and cost-saving opportunities
- Supporting ad-hoc commercial analysis and strategic projects
Experience:
- Studying towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Confident user of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)
- Naturally analytical with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities
