Forge Talent are supporting a Global Business with a requirement within their European, Commercial Finance Team. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive and motivated Management Accountant with product sales and margin analysis experience. You will ideally be AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/ CIM qualifications although candidates qualified by experience will absolutely be considered.

Management Accountant Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the sales and margin management reports and analyse the results.
  • Prepare, review and take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Raise month end journals where necessary and highlight any potential risks and opportunities.
  • Proactively respond to queries raised by the wider business, working to reach a prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to provide customers with timely and high-quality financial information, including reporting for existing and target customers.
  • Provide support for annual sales and margin budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist and collaborate with the audit process by fulfilling the Auditors requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Use existing experience to support continual improvements projects, with a focus on system and process improvements.
  • Perform the role with a customer-focused outlook striving to provide our internal stakeholders with the best possible service.

Management Accountant Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar commercial Management Accountant role with exposure to working with products, in a stock focussed business environment.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Stock and Margins.
  • Ideally part qualified (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) or AAT Level 4 qualified and looking to progress towards becoming fully qualified.
  • Applicants who are qualified by experience will absolutely be considered.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
  • A positive and proactive personality with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel and computerised systems skills.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and duties accordingly.

This role will require travel to the office 3 days per week. Applicants MUST currently live within a commutable distance of Greater Manchester.
