We are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Manager to join our client’s team on a permanent basis.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Quality Manager will take overall responsibility for the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close collaboration with production, engineering, and customer teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company’s Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and inspection processes.
- Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and implement improvement plans where required.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards.
- Manage calibration systems and inspection equipment.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the quality and inspection team.
- Support APQP, PPAP, FAI, and other customer quality requirements where applicable.
- Liaise directly with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and support process improvement activities.
