We’re looking to recruit a qualified or part-qualified Management Accountant to own month-end reporting, deliver actionable insights, and strengthen our planning and control environment. You’ll be hands-on with numbers and comfortable influencing stakeholders across operations, commercial, and leadership teams.
Key responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely month-end management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and KPIs.
- Prepare insightful commentary and dashboards that explain drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with budget holders to build forecasts, budgets, and rolling outlooks; challenge assumptions and track performance.
- Maintain strong financial controls, accruals/prepayments, and balance sheet integrity; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Develop and improve reporting, models, and processes (e.g., automate reconciliations, streamline close).
- Prepare board and investor pack inputs; support audits and statutory reporting with robust schedules.
- Lead or support ad-hoc analysis (pricing, margin, scenario modelling, capex cases).
About you
- Qualified/part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Solid month-end close experience and confidence with reconciliations and journals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear, commercial insights.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI/Looker/Tableau) is a plus.
- Comfortable with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Xero) and eager to improve processes.
- Excellent communication; able to challenge constructively and build trusted relationships.
- Proactive, organised, and curious—owns outcomes and meets deadlines.
