We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client a Document Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.
Role Purpose
Coordinate the efficient, timely and cost-effective logistics of the company products.
Act as a document controller for the company - own the master document register, version control, distribution and retention.
Manage QA paperwork and traceability records related to manufacturing and project delivery, ensuring all quality requirements are documented prior to product dispatch.
Main Tasks and responsibilities
- Master register - Maintain the master document register, document numbering, version control, issue and withdrawal of controlled documents.
- Filing & access - ensure all manufacturing, project, QMS and delivery documentation is systematically filed, version controlled and accessible.
- Approval cycles - Coordinate review and approval cycles for new and amended controlled documents.
- QA Paperwork and Traceability
- QA Record - Manage and process QA paperwork and traceability records for UK manufacturing - material certificates, ITP records, inspection sign offs, Welder/ WPS records, Dispatch QA packs.
- No Docs, No release - Ensure all quality requirements are documented and signed off prior to product dispatch.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience
- Logistics experience
- Strong organisation, planning, communication and problem solving skills.
- proficient in MS Office and ERP / Logistics software (Microsoft dynamics 365 F&.
- Working knowledge of UK transport regulations and logistics best practice.
- Experience with document control systems and managing quality assurance paperwork within a manufacturing environment.
