Forge Holiday Group creates memorable holiday experiences across the UK. Our people are at the heart of everything we do - from the teams delivering brilliant guest experiences to the managers leading them day in, day out. We're growing, evolving and operating in an increasingly complex people landscape. Changes to employment legislation, rising expectations of leaders and the pace of operational life mean how our managers lead matters more than ever.
This role exists because we're done with training that looks good on paper and changes nothing in real life.
What You’ll Actually Do
- You’ll work across Forge Holiday Group designing learning that managers remember, use and talk about.
- You’ll be at the forefront of supporting the changes coming from the Employment Rights Act, making sure managers don’t just hear about new rules - they know how to use them.
- You’ll strip out the legal jargon and turn it into real-world examples, honest conversations and practical tools that help managers lead confidently through change.
- You’ll design leadership and management development that feels human, challenging and energising. The kind that builds courage, accountability and self-awareness - not just confidence.
How You’ll Do It
- If it’s boring, broken or box-ticking, it’s up for replacement.
- Scrap the classroom and take learning straight into the operation.
- Use real Forge Holiday Group scenarios, role-play the hard conversations and get uncomfortable (in a good way).
- Build peer learning, challenges, pop-ups or experiences that don’t look like "training".
- Steal ideas from outside L&D, outside hospitality, outside HR altogether.
- If it works, we’ll back it. If it doesn’t, we’ll learn and move on. Safe ideas are riskier than bold ones here.
This Role Is Not For You If:
- You need a slide deck to feel prepared.
- You hide behind policy instead of helping managers think.
- You prefer approval over impact.
- You understand UK employment law and know how to make it real.
- You’re confident challenging managers and leaders (respectfully).
- You believe learning should change behaviour, not tick boxes.
- You’re curious, brave and a bit fed up with "how it’s always been done".
Experience in hospitality or leisure helps - but mindset beats sector every time.
Benefits: Annual bonus scheme linked to company performance. 33 days' holiday (including)
