Bulk Outloader in Preston

Reporting to: Production Manager
Reference: R9160

The Bulk Outloader is responsible for ensuring that the out loading is done efficiently and according to the confirmed plan. This is achieved by locating the correct products from either totes or bulk bins and operating vehicles on site in a safe manner.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Loads wagons on time to the required plan
• Checks vehicle before loading to ensure it is ready and clean
• Maintains shift to high level of H&S and communicates any issues in a timely manner; completes required actions
• Safely shunts HGV vehicles around company premises and operates the forklift as required
• Manages the loading space of the yard and vehicles while loading
• Ensures all raw material loads are sampled
• Operates the mill intake system in line with procedures for cross contamination
• Maintains the working area to an acceptable standard of hygiene throughout the shift
• Maintains appropriate records for production, maintenance and quality
• Has basic knowledge of transferring production form SAP to DSL

Applicants must have the following:

• Strong team member with good communication skills
• Works well on own initiative
• Good team and work ethic
• Sound knowledge of health and safety
• Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
• Attention to detail
• Available for overtime
• Full car driving licence

It would be an advantage if you had the following:

• FLT Licence
• Shunting or loading experience
• Basic computer skills
