The Compliance Development Lead reports directly to the Operations Manager. This is a key position for the delivery of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance, along with process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across all functions. It will play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of LEAN methodology and the supporting framework to deliver business transformation.
Purpose of the Job
- Support the site Senior Team in all aspects of HSE & quality compliance.
- Drive the improvement of processes and systems within supply chain, and implement programs that will have continuing long-term benefits.
- Develop plans, schedules, and budgets for projects to improve existing processes.
- Deliver coaching/training plans in line with supply chain requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead site meetings relating to HSE & quality and represent the site on regional & national calls/meetings.
- Governance of the HSE & Quality compliance systems.
- Coordinate all aspects of the internal and external audit processes connected with HSE & Quality.
- Support the Site Senior Team with closing out actions and non-compliance relating to HSE & Quality.
- Identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business through employing Lean methodologies.
- Work with key business stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment supporting an on-going programme of change.
- Lead and facilitate lean/process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
- Support the delivery of added value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of all wastes within the site.
- Identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system.
- Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
- Complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects.
- Be required to undertake such duties and responsibilities as may be determined by the Company from time to time.
