Provides services to support ForFarmers’ day-to-day business operations. As a generalist, performs work relating to multiple Business Support expertise areas. Reporting to: Trading Director Reference: R9786

Summary

You will work as part of a busy sales trading desk offering our sustainable feed solutions to our farm customers. You need to be customer focused with the ability to build relationships quickly and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment ensuring our customers are kept up to date with the latest pricing and availability. You will have trading responsibilities for products on a national basis, monitoring agreed trading positions and volume levels. Providing accurate commercial information and market information to the Total Feed Specialists, Field Based Account Managers, Merchants as well as direct farm sales.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure clearance of products from points of supply to satisfaction of suppliers and to ensure that communication is maintained with all key personnel at supply sites (3rd party & ForFarmers).
  • Sales volumes and margin realization for the co-products.
  • Following up on leads from the sales force and own lead generation.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and working with product managers on how to capture 100% logging on C4C of all customer interactions.
  • To monitor, develop and maintain the input of information into C4C database system. C4C is your central tool for storing and sharing customer information.

Your profile

  • Completed higher-level vocational education (BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma or equivalent).
  • Significant continuous work experience within a telephone sales environment.
  • Motivation for sales and a commercial acumen.
  • Sales and closing skills.
  • Ability to motivate internal and external sales teams, suppliers and logistic partners.
  • Computer literacy and CRM experience.
  • Proactive, customer centric approach.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and longer-term relationships over the telephone.
