About The Role
Job Purpose: Manchester position. The Regional Manager will be accountable to the Responsible Individual for maintaining the residential section of Forevercare. This will include ensuring that the business develops and that the reputation of the organisation is protected. The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible attitude to the duties, which may have to be varied after discussion, subject to the needs of the service and in keeping with the general profile of the post. The role is a 40 hour per week Monday to Friday role in the main but as with all senior management posts the needs of the service may require work out of hours.
Deliverables:
- That the highest standards of physical, social and emotional care are delivered in all homes, exceeding any guidance and standards set by Ofsted.
- Ensure that services remain compliant with Regulations and Standards.
- Ensure that all disciplinary matters are addressed through the HR process.
- Work to ensure the financial stability of the organisation.
- Be responsible for your own time management, have good organisational skills, taking responsibility for your own workload.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To act as Regional Manager reporting to the RI.
- Work with the RI to ensure that services are always maintained and compliant.
- To arrange and undertake the recruitment of all home managers.
- To provide line manager support, including supervision, for all home managers.
- Assist registered managers to respond to all requirements identified through inspection.
- Work with managers to achieve and maintain an Ofsted rating of at least Good, with the goal to be outstanding.
- Be responsible for the review and updating of policies relevant to the residential sector of the organisation.
- Ensure the strategic vision of the organisation is embedded in policies, procedures and management strategies and is delivered in collaboration with teams within the organisation.
- Visit each Children’s home at least once per week to offer support and guidance to registered managers.
- Review and shortlist young people's referrals and advise those managers with vacancies.
- Be responsible for auditing the services within the residential sector by reviewing the monthly audits and delivering an overview report to the RI by the end of week two of the following month.
- Be responsible for identifying the training needs of the residential service along with the registered managers.
- Be responsible for the organisation of managers meetings on a monthly basis.
- Read and review all Reg 44 reports and monitor recommendations across the service to inform training and development needs.
- Ensure all safeguarding risks are acted upon immediately and the relevant action taken to mitigate the risk.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and guidance and ensure that managers are aware of changes and the impact on their service and practice.
- Ensure that your own development needs are identified and addressed.
- Seek the advice of the RI as appropriate on matters where the proper course of action is uncertain and guidance is required.
- Always behave in a responsible manner and be conscious of the good name of the company.
