About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Senior Residential Practitioner to join our Residential Children’s Home provisions at Forever Care.
We provide person-centered support and care for children and young people aged 5 to 18 who have a variety of needs.
As a Senior Residential Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in overseeing each shift, providing first-line management and supervision to the Residential Practitioners on duty, ensuring that our children and young people receive the best care and support possible.
You will report directly to the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, contributing to a nurturing and homely environment in our two-bed homes.

Person Specification / Requirements
To excel in this role, you must
- Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a Senior or Team Leader role.
Residential childcare experience is desirable, but Senior and Team Leader experience in other health and social care environments will be considered.
- Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (most desirable) or a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care (with a willingness to complete additional units in Children’s Residential Care).
- Be committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Be able to prioritise workload and duties effectively.
- Have experience in leading and delegating to the team on duty.
- Be confident in decision‑making and accountability.
- Understand Care Plans, Risk Assessments, and the Children’s Home Regulations.
- Safeguard and protect the well‑being of children and young people at all times.
- Supervise and provide ongoing 1:1 practice‑based supervision to team members.
- Work collaboratively with other Senior Practitioners and management to ensure the service meets required standards.
- Act in the absence of the Home’s Registered Manager and Deputy Manager seeking approval when necessary.
- Communicate professionally with team members and external professionals.
- Advocate for the needs, wishes, and views of the young people and children in our care.
