About The Role

This position is for Manchester and can be from a zero hour contract up to full-time. ForeverCare are looking for full-time dedicated Residential Practitioners to provide quality, person-centred care to children aged 5 to 18, with a variety of different needs and requirements. All who require care and support in our ever-expanding service. We are committed to finding individuals who want to make a real difference to children’s lives - people that are passionate, committed and invest in all that they do to achieve their potential and support others to do so.

Responsibilities

  • You will work alongside a team of practitioners, Seniors, Deputies and Registered Manager caring for and supporting our children to progress positively through receiving encouragement, understanding, care and patience.
  • You will work with external agencies.
  • All daily and specific recordings will need to be completed to a high standard and inputted onto a software system.
  • You will report directly to the Leadership Team.

Qualifications & Criteria

In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • 6 months+ UK experience of working within a similar setting
  • 5 years of professional references
  • Enhanced DBS, subscribed to the update service (or willing to get one)
  • Work towards achieving the best outcomes for children in line with Children’s homes regulations 2015.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential will require no further NVQ.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Adult social care (will require doing 3 units of Children’s Residential Care level three NVQ).
  • No Qualifications requires full level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Knowledge in safeguarding
