Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of young people? Forever Teaching is recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming and supportive specialist school in Didsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and additional learning needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students
- Supporting emotional regulation and engagement in learning
- Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs
- A calm, resilient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Team Teach training (desirable but not essential)
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
