In the heart of St Albans, Hertfordshire, a 'good' Secondary School is on the hunt for a Science Teacher with a specialism in Biology to A-Level and General Science to GCSE for a September 2026 start. This is a full-time permanent position (Employed directly by the School). The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Science Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding department.

The school is renowned for their supportive SLT and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects. The Science department focuses on developing students as strong independent scientific thinkers. At A-Level, the faculty has over 50 high-achieving students studying the sciences, with many studying two or more. At GCSE, the top sets study the AQA Separate Science Course and the rest follow the AQA Combined Science Course. The department has eight dedicated science labs and four prep rooms.

The school is well invested in the Education sector, setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It’s an exciting time at the school! Early Career Teachers of Science (ECT) will be enrolled onto the school's bespoke ECT induction and will work alongside a range of young and experienced teachers.
