This role is for an experienced Maths teacher to step up as Head of Maths, teaching across KS4/KS5. The school offers the support and CPD to help you thrive.
Responsibilities- Line‑management of the other teachers in the Maths department
- Oversee department CPD (continued professional development)
- Manage the Maths department budget
- Liaise with external tutoring agencies for A‑Level maths tuition where appropriate
- Oversee group distribution and timetabling where appropriate
- Plan key assessment points throughout the year
- Liaise with the exams officer for exam entries
- Track student data and support interventions if necessary
- Quality‑assure schemes of work to encourage outstanding teaching across the department
