Forever Education is supporting a unique independent SEN group that provides therapeutic education for children and young people with special educational and neurodiverse learning needs. They are looking for an English Teacher to join their Online School delivering English to students across KS2-KS3-KS4 and KS5 on a fully remote basis.

You will look at our pupils holistically and carry out specific direct educational work supporting our pupils in achieving their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets and personal aspirations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive English lessons across KS2-KS5
  • Differentiating learning to support students of all abilities and backgrounds
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support personal development
  • Support students in developing confidence, self-awareness, and resilience alongside their academic journey
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum and departmental initiatives
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful online classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school's policies

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have QTS / QTLS
  • Substantial experience of supporting neurodiverse children or with ASC and/or SEMH and an understanding of potential implications for communication, learning and behaviour patterns
  • Working knowledge of National Curriculum, KS requirements and Code of Practice for SEND
  • Knowledge and awareness of Safeguarding & Child Protection Procedures
